William Peter Blatty is an author who is best known for his horror novels, most notably his 1971 book The Exorcist. He also wrote the screenplay for the film adaptation for which he won an Academy Award in 1973.

I wrote to Mr. Blatty at the address in the database. I sent a lor, picture and sase. Sent about a week ago and recieved today! Very excited, even though the picture looks like it is faded and damaged a little. Mr. Blatty is the author of The Exorcist!

The novel The Exorcist, written in 1971, is his magnum opus; he also penned the subsequent screenplay version of the film, for which he won an Academy Award. He also wrote and directed the sequel, The Exorcist III: Legion.

Hi Everyone!!!
