Virgil "fire" Trucks Success!! (Virgil Trucks) - 04 mars 2013
I sent a LOR, SASE, and index card. He sent his own baseball card signed, and signed my index card and stamped it with a firetruck, and wrote me back a really nice note! This guy is VERY nice, and getting older. He threw 2 no-hitters, and was a world series champ and 2x all-star. I used the address is the database. Thanks Virgil and fanmail.biz. This one is going on my wall for sure.

Former MLB baseball player Virgil Trucks success - 26 février 2013
Sent card to Virgil Trucks on 2/11/13 and received card back 2/25/13 signed. He also included a signed diamond signatures card and a note to me that said: Hi Nick, glad to sign your card & give you one. Also, good luck on your collection, and my best to you & your family. Sincerely, Virgil Trucks. He is a great signer, especially for his age. Sorry, no scanner.

My friend, Virgil Trucks... - 22 février 2013
I had sent Mr. Trucks a hand drawn portrait (just for him. No other exists), a nice long letter (Ive been writing him for years, not asking for autographs, but just to keep in touch) and a Tigers logo (for his "last" autograph for me) on the 12th of Feb. Today (2-22-13), I received the logo back and some gifts from him. He has to be the kindest retired athlete have ever encountered in our hobby. Like usual, he wrote a letter back, sent an 8x10 print of his entire career, signed card, an 8x10 photo of him with the St. Louis Browns, an 8x10 of him with Casey Stengal, Duke Mass and him (Yankees) and a signed hand fan of his head, writing on the handle "Use in case power goes off." (that still makes me laugh, and anyone that knows me, laughter is rare from me). I really hope he makes it to the Hall of Fame, because he has done some great feats in baseball. Due to his age and medical issues (carpal tunnel in both hands), Im not asking for any more autographs, but Im sure hed sign for first time writers to him, because hes cool like that. This man is truly a legendary pitcher and I am very honored to be able to call him a friend.

VIRGIL TRUCKS SUCCESS!!!!!HE'S HOME!!!!! - 12 novembre 2012
MR. TRUCKS HAS NOT BEEN SIGNING DUE TO A FALL HE ENCOUNTERED IN AUGUST. HE HAS BEEN IN REHAB FOR THE LAST 2 MONTHS DEALING WITH A BROKEN LEG. ON 11/2/12 I SENT MR. TRUCKS $10 (NOT REQUIRED), LOR, SASE, A 8X10, BASEBALL, AND ROOKIE CARD TO THE ADDY IN DATABASE ( 1016 WATERFORD TRAIL CALERA, AL. 35040). SATURDAY, 11/9/12 I RECIEVED MY 8X10 AUTO WITH HIS CAREER STATS, BASEBALL WITH CAREER STATS, AUTO ROOKIE CARD, AND HIS SIGNATURE PERSONAL CARD AUTO ALONG WITH A NOTE TELLING ME ABOUT THE FALL AND NOW HE IS HOME AND IM SURE HE LOOKS FORWARD TO THE FANMAIL. THEIR HAVE BEEN DISCUSSIONS THAT HE IS NO LONGER SIGNING DUE TO ILLNESS BUT HE IS NOW THAT HE IS HOME AND I DID TAKE PICS ILL POST LATER. THE ENVELOPE HAD NO MARKINGS FROM POST OFFICE SO I JUST THREW AWAY!
