Ms. Vikki Carr Singer awesome success! - 19 décembre 2021 Ms. Vikki Carr is a Singer and she sang Ill Walk the Rest of the Way, The Rose and Butterfly, The Color of Love, I Only Have Eyes For You, Your Heart is Free Just Like the Wind, There I Go, and many others. She is an activist on supporting civil rights including people with disabilities rights causes to reduce discrimination and support funds to help improve diversity in the arts to make them be a part of society. Also her activism is that she support health care causes to help fund research to combat against different diseases or assist people who struggle with different health issues to get help and create a foundation to help hispanic students get help on getting access to an education. On 8/07/2021 I mailed a letter explaining how I find Ms. Carr's sing including her activism to be very inspiring to me, a small donation, and an SASE at: Ms. Vikki Carr P.O. Box 780968 San Antonio, TX 78278 (took about 5 months) On 12/18/2021 I received a personalize message on a photo of Ms. Carr Here is the link:   |

Vikki Carr Singer - 15 décembre 2018 Vikki Carr (born Florencia Bisenta de Casillas-Martinez Cardona,July 19, 1941) is an American vocalist who has had a singing career for over four decades. Originally from El Paso, Texas, born to parents of Mexican ancestry, she has performed in a variety of musical genres, including pop, jazz and country, while her greatest success has come from singing in Spanish. She established the Vikki Carr Scholarship Foundation in 1971. After taking the stage name 'Vikki Carr', she signed with Liberty Records in 1962. Her first single to achieve success was "He's a Rebel", which in 1962 reached #3 in Australia and #115 in the United States. Producer Phil Spector heard Carr cutting the song in the studio and immediately recorded a cover version billed to the Crystals that reached #1 in the United States. In 1966, Carr toured South Vietnam with actor/comedian Danny Kaye to entertain American troops there. The following year her album It Must Be Him was nominated for 3 Grammy Awards. The title track reached #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States in 1967, sold over 1 million copies, and received a gold disc. She had two other songs make the US Top 40: 1968's "The Lesson" and 1969's "With Pen in Hand". Around this time, Dean Martin called her "the best girl singer in the business". Carr had 10 singles that made the US pop charts and 13 albums that made the US pop-album charts. Sent her 2 photos on 10 Nov and got them back signed on 15 Dec. |
