Vance AND VERN Law SUCCESS!!! 12/31/18 - January 5th, 2019 Sent LOR, SASE, and 85 Topps Father & Son card to Vance Law at his Provo, UT address on 12/17/18. Got response 12/31/18. Envelope is postmarked Provo, UT, but a return address sticker is in the upper left corner that reads Vernon Law, and has his address underneath. I noticed that Vance and Vern's addresses appeared to be next door to each other, but Vern is 88 years old and I didn't know what his health might be like, so I didn't attempt to get his autograph and didn't even say anything about him in my LOR to Vance. Thrilled to get this one. Best bonus ever! Thank you Vance and Vern, you're the best!

Vern Law Baseball - December 17th, 2015 Vernon Sanders "Vern" Law (born March 12, 1930) is an American former baseball pitcher who played sixteen seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Pittsburgh Pirates. He played in 1950â51 and 1954â67. He batted and threw right-handed and was listed at 6 feet 2 inches (1.88 m) and 195 pounds (88 kg).
Law signed for the Pirates as an amateur free agent in 1948 and played for three of their minor league affiliates until 1950, when he was promoted to the major leagues.
Law was born on March 12, 1930 in Meridian, Idaho. He was signed by the Pittsburgh Pirates before the 1948 season and spent 1948 and 1949 in the minor leagues.
Law made his major league debut for the Pirates in 1950. He played one season and then served in the military from 1951 to 1954. Upon returning the major leagues, eventually earned a spot in the Pirates' starting rotation, steadily demonstrating solid pitching abilities. He shared the NL Player of the Month award in August 1959 (4-0, 1.94 ERA, 25 SO) with Willie McCovey.
In 1960, he had a winâloss record of 20-9 with a 3.08 earned run average. He led the National League in complete games, made the all-star team, and won the Cy Young Award that season. In the 1960 World Series, he won two games to help the Pirates defeat the New York Yankees.
Pittsburgh Pirates (1950â1951, 1954â1967)
2à All-Star (1960, 1960²)
World Series champion (1960)
Cy Young Award (1960)
Sent him 2 photos and a card on 4 Dec and everything came back on 16 Dec but he only signed one photo. There was a little printout that stated that he charges cause he sees lots of his autographs on ebay going for between $75 and $175. . The fee for his autograph is as follows: Flats/Baseballs - $8... Bats/Jerseys - $20. And include a SASE with your item. To me his prices are a good deal..
