Stuart Dunne - Irish Actor - Success - 07 June 2013 Stuart Dunne is an Irish actor best known for one of the most violent roles in Irish soap opera history - the role of Dublin crime lord Billy Meehan in the Irish soap opera, 'Fair City'. He has also appeared in the films 'The Snapper' and 'The Van' . His first appearance as an actor goes back to 1996, when he played an aspiring crook in the RTÃ drama series 'Finbarr's Class'. Significantly, several cast members on Finbarr's Class also appeared on Fair City during the Billy Meehan saga. The Billy Meehan saga was one of the most talked about moments in the history of Fair City. Between 2001 and 2002, the character was the most popular on the show, but often condemned for his violent attitudes. The character was involved in numerous areas of crime, including drugs and prostitution. Meehan was killed off in 2002.
