Ray Meagher (Home and Away) Success! - 01 septembre 2012 Ray Meagher (b. 1948) is an Logie Award winning Australian actor best known throughout the world for his role as Alf Stewart in the popular soap opera Home and Away. Before that he had appeared in such shows as Number 96 and Prisoner. Since August 1987 he has played Alf Stewart in Home and Away. He won a Gold Logie Award for this role in 2009. He is one of the World's longest serving soap opera actors, the third such actor to achieve this record, after Bill Roache and Eric Braeden. His character, Alf, best known for his use of Australian phrases such as'stripey flamin' koalas' and 'the useless galah' have made him a true Australian icon. He also guest starred as himself in an episode of the sitcom "Hey Dad".
