Lynch appeared in the film Drugstore Cowboy which starred Matt Dillon, and the film Road House which starred Patrick Swayze. For performances in Drugstore Cowboy (1989) and The Beans of Egypt, Maine (1994) she was nominated for Independent Spirit Awards. Her other film credits include Desperate Hours, Curly Sue, Virtuosity, Heavens Prisoners, Mr. Magoo, Charlies Angels and The Jacket.
On television Lynch played recurring roles on The L Word (2004-2009) as Ivan Aycock, 90210 (2010-2011) as Laurel Cooper, and on Magic City as Meg Bannock.
