Joan Fontaine - one of her last autographed photos (may she - 17 août 2014
I realize Ms. Fontaine passed away late last year (may she rest in peace), however I wanted to post it since I am new to this site and it's such a beautiful picture.
It look less than 6 weeks to get a reply, it came sometime towards the late summer of 2013.
I sent her the picture (which is one of my favorites of her) and an SASE. |

Joan Fontaine - Success - 23 novembre 2013
Sent letter, SASE and photo to Ms. Fontaine 16 September 2013. Received my photo back today, 22 November 2013. Beautiful signature in a nice gold-coloured ink.

Joan Fontaine success - 14 septembre 2013
Sent a handwritten LoR, 8"x10" photo, and SASE to the database address on 8/13/13, received personalized autograph today in the mail, 9/14/13.
Ms. Fontaine starred in the Hitchcock picture Rebecca, and was perfectly cast in the role of "I," or, the new Mrs. de Winter. The Master of Suspenses adaptation of the story went on to become Best Picture.
Have to say this is a tremendous moment, seeing as Daphne du Mauriers novel is among my most cherished. I keep collecting editions of this novel (and dreaming that I went to Manderley again).

Joan Fontaine, 2013 success - 10 août 2013
Hiya, fellow collectors!
I sent a fan letter, 3 US dollars to pay for postage as I live in Great Britain and a SAE to Ms Fontaine recently.
Sent: First week of July 2013
Received: 10 August 2013
I was really surprised by how fast my letter came back considering its foreign mail, here are the pictures below 
Edit: I used the address in the fanmail.biz database (Carmel, CA....)
