Bill White Baseball Failure - 10 février 2016 William De Kova "Bill" White (born January 28, 1934 in Lakewood, Florida) is a former professional baseball first baseman who played for the New York and San Francisco Giants (1956, 1958), St. Louis Cardinals (1959â65, 1969) and Philadelphia Phillies (1966â68).
White became a full-time sportscaster after his playing career ended, serving for 18 years as a play-by-play man and color analyst for New York Yankees television and radio broadcasts. In 1989 White was hired to be President of the National League to replace Bart Giamatti, who had been elected to succeed Peter Ueberroth as Commissioner. White served in that role until he retired in 1994.
